On May 27, two GoldenEd founding members, George Amo and Isaac Afful, presented GoldenEd’s partner schools; Royal Siege Academy Montessori, Great Andor and Sporting Club Accra Academy with new sports jerseys. The jerseys were donated to GoldenEd Education for distribution by Villanova University working in partnership with two Villanova student athletes Theophilus Quartey and Shamsudeen Seidu.
Shamsudeen Siedu participated with GoldenEd in the jersey distribution. Prior to the distribution Shamsudeen gave a heartfelt speech to the staff and students at the Academy. He praised GoldenEd’s efforts to help Ghanaian youth education. Shamsudeen and Theophilus are strong supporters of GoldenEd and believe in its mission statement to support and educate Ghana’s youth.
Also present at the jersey distribution were Royal Siege’s head, Reverend Emelia Bansah, Enock Yeboah of Great Andor Education and Parker Hansen the Head of Sporting Club Accra Academy.
The jerseys were distributed, speeches were given, and the students were able to go home with their new clothes to show their family and friends – thanks to GoldenEd and Villanova University.
GoldenEd thanks all who participated in the event (specifically Shamsudeen) and looks forward to working with them on future endeavors.
