Saturday, May 1 was Pomfret CT’s 15th annual town-wide tag sale. It was also GoldenEd’s second annual tag sale. Thousands of visitors come to Pomfret for the town-wide tag sale. Louisa Jones and Laura Kane again manned the tables for GoldenEd. They sold CDs, clothes, books, and miscellaneous household items. The day dawned clear and chilly. By 7 am GoldenEd was doing a brisk business. Although they did not sell all of their items the GoldenEd table was significantly diminished by the end of the day. GoldenEd also had a very successful Keep the Change box on display that many customers contributed to. By the end of the day, GoldenEd was over $400 richer and a few donations also rolled in over the weekend. Altogether it was a highly successful tag sale and Louisa and Laura are now looking forward to their annual (their third) GoldenEd tag sale next May.
